Through select lab affiliations, WOLFE provides DNA parentage testing that includes three cheek-cell swab samples (mother, father and child). We are accredited for DNA testing by the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB), the College of American Pathologists (CAP) and the New York State Department of Health (NYDOH).
We require the child’s birth certificate (if available) and the parents’ photo IDs and Social Security numbers at the time of testing. Turnaround time is 48 hours after the lab receives the samples.
Our DNA test results are completely confidential and 99.999999-percent accurate, more than a million times more accurate than most state and federal government standards. WOLFE attains this by testing a sufficient number of genes. We understand the fact that a DNA test may substantiate fatherhood falsely if the test analyzes only a small number of common genes.
WOLFE offers special occupational health pricing and reseller opportunities with DNA testing services.
Steroid and athletic drug testing
Within the last decade, abuse of androgenic-anabolic steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs has become an increasing concern worldwide. Major amateur and professional athletics authorities have banned them. The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) have classified these drugs as Schedule III controlled substances in accordance with the Controlled Substances Act (CSA).
WOLFE lab partners screen for the full range of substances abused commonly by athletes:
- More than 20 anabolic agents (and their metabolites)
- Masking agents such as probenecid
- Other drugs such as stimulants, narcotics, beta blockers and diuretics
